Driven by his desire to secure his family’s financial future and support young Indigenous individuals seeking positive change, Gino actively sought new business opportunities.
In 2019, he ventured into the bottled water delivery business and founded Keipa Water, meaning “FRESH WATER” in Noongar language. Initially serving small businesses in Perth Metropolitan, such as petrol stations, cafes, and corporate clients, the company gradually secured larger projects, including regular purchase orders from mining companies in the Southwest of WA.
In 2022, Keipa Water gained attention as the only Indigenous business with its own water bottling plant in WA.
To accommodate the company’s rapid growth, Gino decided to transition from a sole trader to a proprietary company, resulting in the establishment of Keipa Water Pty Ltd in early 2023. This structural change enabled the company to quote on tenders from mining giants. Additionally, being a 100% Indigenous owned business registered with Supply Nation, Keipa Water Pty Ltd began receiving opportunities like tenders by invitation.
Gino’s enterprising spirit continued to thrive, leading him to develop another complementary idea for his business: hydration products for individuals working in high-temperature areas and those who prioritise their health.
